1310 Warehouse Art Show
November 3, 2006 on 8:54 pm | In out & about |Last night I headed up to the city with what turned out to be a pretty large group of folks to attend a gallery showing at Warehouse 1310. Ryan sent the note out and gave the relevant details, though he did fail to mention that there was an evite for the event with over 400 people on it ….
We started off the evening with the traditional Mexican dinner, though this time it was in the Mission. For those with a pension for taquerias, I suggest you try Taqueria San Francisco. I had the mojado with al pastor … damn tasty.
Ryan’s sister was showing some her work, and from what I gathered it was a successful showing. I have to admit that I am rather upset that the original of one of my favorites has already been sold, but there are always prints I suppose. The show ended up being lots of people packed in a small space, so by about 10:30 it was time to leave.
A few of us attempted to see Borat, which was of course sold out, and in the absence of anything else the group wanted to see, we just kinda hung around the AMC for twenty minutes talking and figuring out if we wanted to do anything else that night. The answer turned out to be no.
Since Ryan, Ken and I had taken the train up to the city from Mtn. View, and the last train did not leave until midnight, I decided to hop it back to the South Bay. All in all a fun night out in SF. No crazy parties or insane barroom antics, just a good night out with friends.
