Oakenfold at 1015

Given that July 4th falls dead it the middle of the week this year, it has afforded us a rare occurrence- a week with two Fridays! Ryan was bright enough to recognize this and suggested we check out Paul Oakenfold at 1015 Folsom tonight. Wow great show! This was my first time back since the shooting in February. We were there that night and it happened about 10 feet from Ryan- scary. But I am glad to say there were no such events tonight and all went well. We got it the pre-sale admission line around 11pm and were in the door around 11:45pm (long line). Luckily, Ryan did not break out in a rash due to his line allergy, but it was a near thing.

Oakenfold spun from about 12:30am to 3:00am, at which point I was spent (it was a long day) and we headed back down the peninsula. There were quite a few familiar faces in the crowd from work and other places, so we were not the only ones who jumped at the chance to see him- even on a Tuesday.
